German Green Steel and Power IPO GMP

GMP stands for Grey Market Premium. It is the extra amount some traders are willing to pay for IPO shares in an informal market before listing, on top of the issue price. This market runs outside the stock exchanges, so the figure is unregulated, unverified, and can move sharply within a single day. A high GMP does not confirm a listing gain, and a low one does not rule it out, because it tracks short-term sentiment rather than the worth of the business. A steadier read on the IPO comes from the company's financials, how it plans to use the money, its valuation, and the risk factors set out in the Red Herring Prospectus (RHP).

About German Green Steel and Power Limited

Incorporated in July 2008 (originally as Haq Enterprises Private Limited), German Green Steel and Power Limited is a Gujarat-based, vertically integrated iron and steel manufacturer operating primarily in western India. It manufactures thermo-mechanically treated (TMT) bars under the "German TMT" brand, mild steel (MS) billets, and sponge iron, and sells largely on a business-to-business basis to distributors, dealers, and institutional customers.

It operates two facilities in Gujarat: an integrated facility at Samakhiyali (Kutch) and a Viramgam unit run through its material subsidiary, German TMX Private Limited. As of 31 March 2026, its installed TMT bar capacity was 1,81,500 MTPA (metric tonnes per annum), which it plans to expand to 3,46,500 MTPA, and about 75.44% of its energy requirements were met by its own captive power and renewable energy plants. As of 31 March 2026, it had 1,357 employees.

The company's promoters are Inamulhaq Shamsulhaq Iraki, Abdulhaq Shamsulhaq Iraki, and Ibrarulhaq Inamulhaq Iraki.

Key Risk Factors

The RHP lists several risk factors. A few of the key ones are summarised below. Please read the full RHP for the complete list.

  • It derives a majority of its revenue from its top-selling products; one product category made up 50.62% of revenue from operations in FY 2026.
  • Other than sales to direct institutional customers, it relies on its dealers and distributors for the distribution of its products.
  • The demand and pricing for its products (TMT bars, MS billets, and sponge iron) are volatile and sensitive to the cyclical nature of the steel industry and raw material prices.
  • Its manufacturing facilities are located only in Gujarat.
  • It has incurred indebtedness, and any inability to comply with repayment and other covenants could affect its business.
  • It and its material subsidiary have received cease-and-desist notices for using certain trademarks, and its "German TMT" logo is not registered in its name.
  • It has contingent liabilities that could affect its financial condition.
  • Its joint statutory auditors have included emphasis-of-matter paragraphs for FY 2025 and FY 2024.
  • Its business depends on its manufacturing facilities, and its manufacturing process carries certain risks.
  • There are outstanding legal proceedings against the company, its promoters, subsidiaries, and directors.
